Formed in the late-night jam circles of their local bluegrass scene, Risky Strings brings high-energy picking, tight harmonies, and fearless musicianship to every stage. Led by Marly Lovett – A guitarist, singer, and song-writer who has gigged since she was a kid, won the South-Park Bluegrass Festival Troubadour Contest in 2024 at the age of 15. Marly turned to the musicians she trusted most- her weekly jam companions. All with the same desire and love for music, the band came together and made their debut.
Nick Puglisi on 5-string Banjo, began his musical journey in college playing the Guitar. He then turned to the call of the Banjo and the bluegrass world. Ever since, he has enlightened many with his talent.
Their Bass player, Brian Bala, has been playing since he was in high school. Starting his path in jazz bands and rock bands, he found his way to a new musical direction, the style of bluegrass. Bringing joy everywhere he goes with his sick bass lines.
Nick Beato, multi instrumentalist. Brings sweet and daring melodies to every song. Shredding the Mandolin with passion and devotion he shares his sound. A true professional and entertainer.
Risky Strings delivers fresh, explosive arrangements mixed with tradition and new school bluegrass that keep audiences on their toes, originals that bring tears and smiles to the faces of the crowd, and personalities that are fun and easy to connect with. They’re determined to embark on this road and to carve their own space in the bluegrass world, one risky note at a time.
Big Shrimp is a high-octane progressive improvised rock quartet formed in 2024 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, blending danceable funk, exploratory rock, and fearless improvisation into a sound that’s as intricate as it is infectious. Built on hook-forward songwriting shared by all four members, Jared Sage Cowen (guitar/vocals), Max Perrotti (bass/vocals), Daniel Cohen (keys/vocals), and Henry Thomas (drums/vocals), the band has quickly earned national attention.
Known for adventurous live performances that blur the line between tightly crafted compositions and spontaneous exploration, Big Shrimp has a fiercely loyal fanbase known as the Prawn Stars. With all four members contributing songs, vocals, and improvisational ideas, no two performances are alike. The chemistry that has become one of the band’s defining characteristics and helped establish them as one of the fastest-rising independent acts in the modern jam scene.
“…yielding some of the funkiest, most cathartic and most primal energy of the set. With catchy melodies, impressive solos, complex arrangements, and shifting tempos and moods, the band kept you on your toes and bobbing your head the entire show.”
— NYSMusic
That momentum exploded in 2026 with the band’s 30+ date It’s As Shrimple As That Tour, headlining rooms including the Aggie Theatre, Cervantes’ Other Side, Buffalo Iron Works, Garcia’s Chicago, Richmond Music Hall, Charleston Pour House, and dozens of additional markets nationwide. The tour culminated in the release of The Prawno Tapes, Vol. 4, a live album capturing the strongest improvisational moments from the run and featuring special guest Ryan Dempsey of Twiddle, who joined the band for several performances throughout the tour.
“There’s something about seeing a pack of feral 20-something-year-olds on a mission that calms any doubt about the future of music.”
— Josh Landes, WAMC
Building on that momentum, Big Shrimp spent Summer 2026 following Phish throughout the Northeast with its “We’ve Got It Shrimple” after-party series. The run packed venues across the East Coast, sold out three performances, and introduced hundreds of new fans to the band’s explosive late-night shows.
On the studio front, Big Shrimp released its second studio single, “Alcaworkholic,” in March 2026 as the latest preview of the band’s forthcoming debut full-length album set for release in Fall 2026.
The band’s momentum continues this August with the launch of Camp Scampi, Big Shrimp’s inaugural music, food, and arts festival in Addison, New York. Headlined by Big Shrimp and Spafford and featuring more than 30 artists across multiple stages, the independently produced festival reflects the community the band has built through relentless touring and an ever-growing national audience.
Looking ahead, Big Shrimp has already announced a 30+ date Fall 2026 Tour, expanding into new markets including St. Louis, Milwaukee, Cleveland, and Charlotte while returning to fan-favorite cities across the Northeast and Midwest. The run also marks the band’s third Colorado tour of 2026, reinforcing one of its fastest-growing regional fanbases as momentum continues to build toward the release of its debut studio album.
With multiple live releases, sold-out after-parties, national touring, an independently produced destination festival, and a debut album on the horizon, Big Shrimp continues to establish itself as one of the most exciting new voices in progressive improvisational rock.

Denver, CO based artist Lucas Parker embraces the musical impurities that make jazz fusion and jam-rock … two of the most dazzling platforms for electric guitar and composition. For over 15 years, Lucas has caught and held the attention of the live music and festival communities in the Midwest and beyond with his energetic stage presence and a no-holds-barred approach to guitar that’s both high-brow and from the heart.
Jessica Paige brings the roots of her rural Kansas childhood to life with heartfelt, folky lyricism contrasted by her huge voice and personality. Jessica wavers between the influences of powerhouse voices like Janis Joplin and Brandi Carlile and the sultry and delicate inflections of Norah Jones and Jeff Buckley, a true master of vocal range and emotion.
A three-time semi-finalist on American Idol, twice voted “Best Vocalist” in Kansas City, TEDxKC Artist, Folk Alliance International Showcase Artist, featured vocalist with the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra, Jessica has become one of Kansas City’s most respected musicians and band leaders. As an advocate and mentor of girls and women entering the music profession, and a private instructor in voice and guitar, she is equally passionate about lifting other aspiring musicians. Jessica has over a thousand performances, touring, and with residencies across the country and internationally. Whether she is serenading a small listening room with just her guitar or rocking a massive stage with an impressive line-up of musicians, she will draw you in and blow you away with her passion and dedication to the craft, being an ever-growing musician.
Lucas Parker’s music possesses the harmonically rich sensibilities and sleek precision of the jazz-rock pioneers of the ’70s and early ’80s, while also leaning into the reckless abandon of the deep tradition of improvisational rock music. At the center is Lucas’ high-octane but soulful guitar playing, which can be described as putting ingredients from Jeff Beck, Pat Metheny, and David Gilmour in a blender and hitting shred.
Lucas has appeared on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert with Tech N9ne, and has performed on stage with Joe Bonamassa, Warren Haynes, Stanley Sheldon (Frampton Comes Alive), Andy Frasco and countless others. Lucas Parker’s debut LP “0 to 60” is streaming everywhere now!
