Assistant Brewer

Pay Range

$22.50/hr and up depending on experience

The Job

We are looking for a detail-oriented and hard-working individual to join our production team. You will be a part of the production team and get to work closely with the rest of our wonderful staff, including brewers, sales, marketing, and front of house staff. This is a repetitive job that is well suited for someone who emphasizes every detail and understands how all the small things impact the whole process. Your work will be in a fast-paced production environment. Flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to pitch in whenever needed is very importat. A sense of humor and good communication along with a driven personality are skills we are looking for.

Responsibilities

·        Stocking, cleaning, and filling of kegs

·        Cleaning/sanitizing of cellar vessels

·        Stocking and organization of raw materials

·        Assist with canning and bottling operations

·        General facility cleaning including floors and tank exteriors

·        Potential for brewing based on experience and demonstrated performance

·        Assisting with all other brewery operations as needed

Qualifications

·        Brewing, food processing, industrial processing experience preferred, but not required

·        Engineering or science background desired, but not required

·        Must be able to multitask in a time sensitive environment

·        Detail/time oriented

·        Ability to stand for long periods of time in a wet, loud environment

·        Ability to work comfortably at heights

·        Must be able to lift 55 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier objects, and perform physical aspects of the job

·        Must be able to follow SOPs and PPE protocols, ability to use hazardous chemicals
