Since 2021, Tonewood String Band has been taking bluegrass to new heights with their unique style of progressive bluegrass. Their original songs, unique arrangements, technical improvisations, and tight vocal harmonies have garnered them praise and help set them apart as one of Denver’s best bluegrass bands. The band consists of songwriters George Sepmeier (Violin, Mandolin) and Evan Shely (Guitar), as well as Elijah Donovan (Banjo), Matt Thomas (Upright Bass), and Steve Lisi (Percussion).
