Ben Rafferty’s world-famous Dog Log will be performing live for our annual New Year's Eve Pre-party from 6 - 9pm! Dog Log is one of Colorado’s most beloved Phish tribute bands, seamlessly blending all Phish eras, choice heady covers, and more than likely a few NYE surprises!
Ben Rafferty is a keyboardist and singer- song writer who has been performing his way across the country for over 20 years. He grew up in Auburn, NY where he got his start playing and honing his chops with American Monster Band in the early 2000s. He soon moved to California where he played solo and with a variety of local bands. Feeling unsatisfied by the small town life in Humboldt County he trekked his way back toward the east, landing in Denver Colorado in 2011. It has been in Denver that he has found an enormous and thriving music scene which people dream about.
You may have seen Ben Rafferty onstage at Red Rocks Amphitheater, or performing over the last 13 years in such acts as The Workshy, The Doc Sadler Band ( formerly Radio Revinyl), Shrnk, Mlima, Revalator, Phour Point O, Violet Breeze, The Cosmic Charlie’s, or sitting in with Colorado favorites such as: Shakedown Street, Coral Creek , Dead Phish Orchestra and Dave A'Bear and Friends.
Ben has been performing with Polytoxic's annual production of the Last Waltz Revisited since 2012 and looks forward to continuing to do so. Ben has also had the pleasure of playing on stages from California to New York with stops almost everywhere in between including New Orleans , Atlanta, Nashville, Las Vegas, Seattle and Portland.
Ben has shared the stage with many incredible musicians including (just to name a few): John Popper of Blues Traveler, Al Schnier of moe. , Dave A'Bear of the Jerry Garcia band, Eric Martinez of Jerry Joseph and the Jackmormons, Kenny Passarelli of the Elton John band, Vinny Amico of moe., Michael Travis and Jason Hann of the String Cheese Incident.
